Thread technology exchange - common thread processing & thread quality control issues
(UGMIC Precision can provide good tools and solutions)
A. Considerations for selecting common thread specifications and sizes
1. Thread specification & accuracy grade must be considered at the same time!
2. Reserve the size to meet the post-processing (such as electroplating, anodizing, carburizing, heat treatment, ... and other common post-processing methods, the reserved amount before post-processing must be considered)
3. How to define the reserved dimensions to meet the inspection before post-processing, and clearly distinguish the responsibilities of each process manufacturer.
B. Common thread machining problems
1. Thread shrinkage problem (less than 100% cutting ability)
2. Thread expansion problem (unstable spindle and over 100% cutting ability)
3. The GO plug gauge cannot go to the end thread
4. The NOGO plug gauge cannot stop to turn in the thread
5. The GO plug gauge cannot go to the end thread & The NOGO plug gauge cannot stop to turn in the thread
6. Thread quality control issues
7. Thread post-processing issues
8. Problems with secondary processing of threads
9. Processing thread issues after thread heat treatment
10. Problems with thread processing of pre-hardened materials
